Around 2300 years ago (370 BC-283 BC)), a Brahmin man walked amongst the now ruined city of Takshashila of ancient India (now in Pakistan). He taught at the greatest university of this region (possible the entire world at that time) and was single handedly responsible for changing the course of history for the sub-continent. That great man was Chanakya , a man who took head on and diffused the threat of Alexander the Great’s ever growing ambitions to conquer India.

The Bhagvad Gita is an ancient Indian philosophical scripture. Though ancient, it is eternal since it transcends religion, race or time frame. Even in the 21 st century, it is relevant, as its teachings enables us humans to get a true understanding of life and offers practical ways to overcome challenges and hurdles.

One of the biggest challenges that a Human Resources department may face is to operate within an organization that has weak or poor leadership. An organization that lacks leadership will also lack vision. Without vision, employees will lack strong purpose. Without purpose, employees are only motivated by their pay.

There’s enough & more written about HR Leadership & related topics, so I don’t want to add reams to the existing research and articles. Want to keep it short & focused, so each one in the fraternity can do a dip stick and self-introspect on what’s missing or needs to be developed further.
