The world has changed with COVID. Organisations were forced to transform their workplace overnight. Employee experience shot into the limelight, with focus on employee health and safety, and adoption of digital tools made a virtual office possible.
There is a saying that “People may forget what you did to them but they will never forget how you made them feel”. This is apt in the current pandemic that is characterized by anxiety, uncertainty and stress.
Each one of us was excited about the dawn of 2020. It meant – a new year, a new decade, and the rush for innumerable beginnings. But alas, COVID-19 struck the planet and as I write this piece, we are continuing to reel under its effects.
“Change is the end result of all true learning,” says a famous quote from Leo Buscaglia. And when we look back at what the pandemic drove us to, it is change that emerges as the most underlying aspect.
