The overall budget maintains the trend of enhancing the quality of life of Indian Citizens. Simplification of processes, faceless assessment and now faceless appeals are a reflection of this Government’s continued commitment to fight corruption.
Last year was a crash course on the polarities that exists around us. 2020 brought the world closer in many ways but also brought out all the issues that were dividing the world, up-front and centre.
COVID-19 has changed the way employees learn and work across the world. With more and more organizations shifting to remote working, remote training, newer learning tools have been adopted to sustain learning during the pandemic.
The job creation, skill development, entrepreneurship, and start-ups encouragement are the likely the topmost agenda in this year’s Union Budget. There is a need for a skill development stimulus package that helps in substantially generating employment opportunities across various sectors.
The Union government has accentuated women empowerment through its various schemes. Now, it is time for the government to endorse women’s welfare by incentivizing women’s employment.
With the pandemic leaving a dent in the job market, the 3,000 crores earmarked for skill development last year has become even more critical. This needs to be taken to execution to ensure stimulus to the relevant industries and job roles that have been severely impacted by COVID.
