The job creation, skill development, entrepreneurship, and start-ups encouragement are the likely the topmost agenda in this year’s Union Budget. There is a need for a skill development stimulus package that helps in substantially generating employment opportunities across various sectors.
The Union government has accentuated women empowerment through its various schemes. Now, it is time for the government to endorse women’s welfare by incentivizing women’s employment.
With the pandemic leaving a dent in the job market, the 3,000 crores earmarked for skill development last year has become even more critical. This needs to be taken to execution to ensure stimulus to the relevant industries and job roles that have been severely impacted by COVID.
