Mona PoonjaDiversity is all about empowering people by respecting and appreciating what makes them different, in terms of age, gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation, education, and national origin. Inclusion is the process of engaging each individual and makes them feel valued as being essential to the success of the organization. Why D&I?

Irrespective of our employees are part of the LGBTQ community, belong to minority groups due to their gender or ethnicity, or are significantly older or younger than the majority in the office, it is very important for them to be included and accepted in their personal successes and those of the organization.

A diverse workforce (in age, race, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, and gender) brings diverse viewpoints and perspectives to the company; these elements can help you develop great new products and great new ways to cater to customers.

Best Practices in D&I :

Develop a roadmap for D&I like assessing the current state of D&I through a D&I lens. Obtain buy-in time from leaders. We should also check on infrastructure for D&I.
