It is highly encouraging to see the continued focus of the Government on ease of doing business along with relaxations to encourage entrepreneurship and start-up ecosystem to flourish in India. The initiatives and incentives announced by the Government in the Budget earlier this year followed by mention in the Hon. The Prime Minister’s Independence Day speech recently is highly beneficial to MSME and Start-ups. The task force for next generation reforms is a major initiative which will focus on streamlining laws and rules for ease of doing business and reduce the compliance costs along with GST reforms to reduce tax burden is certainly appreciated. While there is intent and action, it is essential to put clear timelines for the benefits roll out, implementation framework and procedures in order to get optimum advantage with speed in the current global scenario.
