Trekking Tips
Holidays are a good time to take a break from the routine. Everybody wants to go for a short trip to a hill station and escape the blazing heat of NCR to refresh and rejuvenate. Planned leaves or Weekends are best for those day trips around your city or hill station nearby. Spending time in nature has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. The peaceful environment and fresh air can lead to improved mood and mental clarity. Being in remote areas often means disconnecting from technology, which can be refreshing and help individuals recharge mentally.
When we visit such places, it comes in our mind to go for a trekking. Trekking is one great outdoor activity that takes you on an adventurous expedition in the mountains. Even for a beginner, it can be a really exciting start to explore some hidden trails. It is harder to walk uphill than downhill because you must lift the weight of your body and to do this requires greater energy than that needed for walking on the level. Even with these difficulties we want to go for a trekking. However, if we prepare many things in advance we may enjoy the trekking . Here are few tips to follow:-
1) Before going to trek, study thoroughly about your destination so you may avoid the whether drift. Also avoid the over-crowded destination and try to explore off-beat places.
2) Never forget to follow the instructions from the local bodies. Be aware and vigilant towards any scammer etc.
3) Always carry Backpack. Never carry bag with narrow shoulder straps (Handbags, Shoulder bags etc.)
4) Keep in mind to wear proper attire according to season. Do remember to wear shoes not slippers/ sandals.
5) Should not avoid meals before going to trek as one can feel fatigue during the journey and stay hydrated. Carry some dry meals and first-aid supplies in case of an emergency.
6) Use micro-steps for uphill climbs, go slowly and gradually. As rushing can be very tiring.
7) Taking Stick (which may balance your weight) with you shall be helpful to bear pressure while going uphill and downhill.
8) You are solely responsible for your personal safety. Keep on the trail and avoid taking shortcuts on switchbacks.
9) One must avoid going to any waterbodies without any guide / instructions.
10) Taking First-aid box shall be helpful on your trip and trek.
11) Do not litter waste around your surrounding as it can create the health problem to the local people. Deposit your waste in your bag.
