L&T Hydrocarbon a leading engineering and construction company conducted a pioneering recruitment drive for deaf candidates at Mook Dhwani Trust, Vadodara. This ground breaking event aimed to foster inclusivity and provide equal employment opportunities in the hydrocarbon sector.

As we transform into a truly global player, we appreciate that we also need to transform our work force and orient it in that direction. L&T Hydrocarbon’s  efforts to improve disability inclusion and accessibility at the group’s workplaces. On 10 th May,2024, the drive witnessed an impressive turnout of over 127 candidates, all eager to showcase their skills and potential. Representing a diverse range of educational backgrounds, the applicants included graduates, diploma holders, and ITI professionals specializing in fields such as mechanical engineering, accounting, civil engineering, architecture, electrical engineering, and chemical engineering. Interviews were conducted with the help of interpreters. Furthermore, the panel and the candidates used written communication to understand each other better.

The selection process culminated in the recruitment of around 10 promising individuals, who were chosen based on their skills, qualifications, and potential to thrive in a dynamic work environment. This initiative not only highlights L&T’s dedication to inclusive hiring practices but also underscores their recognition of the talent that exists across all segments of society. The newly recruited candidates are set to embark on a rewarding journey with L&T, marking a significant step forward in the company’s ongoing commitment to excellence and inclusivity
in the workforce.
