At Vicat India, our Human Resources philosophy is firmly anchored in creating a workplace where employees feel valued, engaged and empowered. We seamlessly blend structured people practices with a strong human touch, ensuring that professional growth, personal well-being and a sense of belonging remain central to everything we do.

1. Employee Engagement & Well-Being
We organise a wide range of engagement initiatives designed to foster camaraderie, cultural appreciation and work–life balance. These include festival celebrations, cultural programs, movie screenings, sports and games and health awareness sessions conducted by medical professionals.

Our flagship community initiative, Annapurna, encourages employees to cook and sell food, promoting teamwork, creativity, and social bonding. We also actively engage with local schools and community groups through various events, strengthening our social connect and community presence.

To enhance employee security and welfare, we offer Ashraya (support during unforeseen circumstances), comprehensive Employee Group Insurance, and distinctive welfare schemes such as Vicat @ Wheels (vehicle support) and Vicat @ Dream Home (housing support), ensuring financial stability and peace of mind for employees and their families.
Family-centric initiatives form an integral part of our culture. These include games and drawing competitions for employees’ children and celebrations at offices and plant colonies that actively involve family members—adding a personal touch and reinforcing a sense of connection, respect, and belonging.

2. Learning & Development
Our e-learning platform, Campus Vicat, enables employees to enhance their skills at their own pace and convenience. This is complemented by on-the-job learning, knowledge-sharing forums, leadership development programs, competency mapping, capability building and structured skill development initiatives.

While we do not currently deploy AI-driven learning tools, our focus remains on delivering practical, relevant, and high-impact training interventions that effectively address skill gaps and support long-term career growth.

3. Inclusive & Supportive Work Environment
We actively promote diversity and inclusion within the manufacturing and cement industry through focused initiatives that ensure equitable opportunities for all. In a traditionally male-dominated sector, we are proud to have female employees working full shifts in Mines operations and women professionals operating the Central Control Room (CCR) at our plants, reflecting our commitment to enabling equal opportunities across core operational roles.
Our inclusive approach fosters respect, encourages diverse perspectives, and ensures that every employee feels heard, valued, and actively involved in decision-making processes.

4. Employee Support & Care
To support employees working at plant locations, we provide dedicated accommodation facilities that ensure a safe, comfortable and community-oriented living environment. Recognising the challenges of remote locations, we also facilitate access to quality schooling for employees’ children.

Our Occupational Health Centres, staffed with dedicated doctors, provide timely medical care. We promote holistic well-being through annual celebrations of International Yoga Day and our ongoing Wellness Wednesday initiative, which includes doctor consultations, health talks, preventive health check-ups, eye screenings and comprehensive health assessments.

5. Sports & Recreation
We encourage physical fitness and teamwork through Annual Cricket Tournaments across the Vicat India Group and by supporting employee participation in inter-company sporting events—fostering collaboration, well-being and healthy competition.

6. Recognition & Trust
Our culture of appreciation recognises employees not only for business performance but also for consistently demonstrating our core values. We are proud to have received the Great Place to Work® Certification for two consecutive years, with the most recent certification awarded in February. This recognition reflects our sustained commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive and trust-based organisational culture.

Through these initiatives, Vicat India continues to nurture a workplace where employees thrive, contribute meaningfully and grow together—building not just successful careers, but a strong and enduring sense of belonging.
